This Semrush review covers what the money buys in late 2026, six months after Adobe bought the company. The cheapest paid plan costs $139.95 a month for 500 keywords tracked daily, and monthly plans are never refunded. We have not tested Semrush yet; this review uses its own pricing, refund and billing pages as of October 23, 2026, plus review-site scores.

Semrush After the Adobe Deal: What Changed for Buyers

Adobe closed its deal to buy Semrush on April 28, 2026, at $12 a share, about $1.9 billion. Semrush, once listed on the NYSE as SEMR, is now a wholly owned Adobe business.

For customers, little has moved yet. Semrush's customer FAQ promises no immediate changes to features, support or billing, and existing contracts stay as they are for now. The line-up new buyers see is one classic SEO plan and three Semrush One plans that add AI visibility tracking, a daily check of how AI answers mention your brand. The old Guru and Business plans are gone from the pricing page.

Semrush Plans and Prices: Classic SEO vs Semrush One

Semrush plans and prices start with the classic SEO plan at $139.95 a month (the page shows $139), and each Semrush One plan adds AI tracking on top.

Semrush Limits That Bite Before You Pay

Two Semrush limits bite before the price does: tracked keywords and seats.

  • Tracked keywords. 500 on SEO and Starter, 1,500 on Pro+, which works out to $0.28, $0.40 and $0.20 per keyword a month. SE Ranking Core tracks 2,000 daily for $129, or $0.065 each; see our rank tracker prices.
  • Seats. One user per plan. Extra users start at $45 a month, so three people on Pro+ cost at least $389.

Semrush Refund Policy and Free Trial Terms

Semrush's refund policy is a one-time, 7-day money-back guarantee on a first annual plan or first add-on, bought on semrush.com by credit card.

Ask in writing within 7 days; the money comes back within 30, and any bank or currency fees are yours. The Semrush refund policy is blunt about the rest: "refunds are not available for month-to-month subscriptions." The 7-day free trial needs a card and becomes a paid plan unless you cancel first, and you only get one. Cancel through the form in your logged-in account, answer every question, and keep the confirmation Semrush sends within 3 business days.

Semrush Trustpilot Score and Billing Complaints Before You Buy

Semrush's Trustpilot score is 1.6 out of 5 from 1,418 reviews, read October 23, 2026, and billing complaints drive most of the low marks.

The page is split: 44% one-star, 41% five-star. That day G2 listed Semrush at 4.5 from 3,901 reviews and Capterra at 4.6 from 2,329, both as shown in Google results. The one-star reviews repeat three complaints: charges after canceling (one reviewer cites €285.25 in September 2026), refused refunds on monthly plans (the policy rules them out), and a bill that grows with AI tracking, seats and toolkits. Read the Semrush reviews on Trustpilot before a yearly plan.

Who Should Buy Semrush, and Who Should Shop Elsewhere

You should buy Semrush if one login has to cover SEO, PPC research, local, content and AI visibility, and the team can pay per seat.

Shop elsewhere if most of your use is rank tracking; our SE Ranking and Semrush comparison runs that math. For backlinks, read Semrush vs Ahrefs. Small budgets should start with our cheaper Semrush alternatives, from $23 a month.

Semrush Position Tracking: Test Status and Price

Semrush Position Tracking's test status is pending, so this review gives no accuracy score or verdict on its data.

Our first test asks which trackers report the page Google shows a real person, because AccuRanker reports Google serving swapped results to automated rank checks, with a big step on September 24, 2026. Daily checks at $0.28 a keyword are only worth it if the positions are right; see how we test.

Semrush Review Questions Before You Buy

These Semrush review questions cover the price, trial and refund points buyers ask about most.

Is Semrush worth the price for a small agency?

Semrush is worth the price for a small agency that uses its research, audit and reporting tools daily. For rank tracking alone, it costs about four times SE Ranking's price per keyword.

Did Semrush prices change after the Adobe purchase?

Existing Semrush contracts did not change after the Adobe purchase, and Semrush's customer FAQ promises no immediate billing changes.

Can I use Semrush for free?

You can use Semrush for free with one demo project, 10 reports a day and 10 tracked keywords, with no card required.
